Château Haut-Tuquet is a distinguished Bordeaux wine produced by Joël and Michel Lafaye, vignerons who have been cultivating their family estate since 1866. Located in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, the family has expertly balanced modern techniques with traditional winemaking practices over four generations. Acquired in 1971, Château Haut-Tuquet complements their family holdings, bringing together Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon to create a wine that is both refined and robust. The vineyard spans 10 hectares, with clay-limestone soils that contribute to the wine's distinctive character. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity and expression of the fruit.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Château Haut-Tuquet Bordeaux reveals an intense purple hue with "turquoise" reflections, presenting a complex and expressive bouquet of blueberry, redcurrant, and a hint of red pepper. On the palate, it opens with a direct and delicate attack, evolving into a smooth and supple texture. Flavors of cherry and blackberry emerge, punctuated by a slight astringency and peppery notes. The wine is medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity that provides structure and elegance.
