Erbhof Unterganzner Composition Reif is a remarkable wine that showcases the expertise of its producer. Hailing from best sites belonging to the estate, the grapes are harvested late, in multiple passes through October and partly November. Some of the grapes are even left to partly dry on the vine for more concentration. After the alcoholic fermentation the wine is matured for 18 months in French oak, partly new. This attention to detail results in concentrated and deep wine that beautifully captures the essence of its terroir. Rather powerful, but with ripe tannins, it can be enjoyed upon released, but will also show beautifully after a couple of years in the bottle.
