VS Rioja Tempranillo is made by Bodegas Murua has a total of 51 plots of vineyards of different grape varieties that total an area of 80 hectares in the lands of Rioja Alavesa , spread across the municipalities of Elciego, Laguardia, Villabuena de Álava, Leza, Lanciego and Navaridas. This wine is highly expressive and open, representing a modern style with a generously fruity profile.
The wine undergoes a spontaneous fermentation, at temperatures between 24 and 27 degrees celsius with gentle pump-overs and aiming to minimise oxygenation during the alcoholic fermentation. Maceration lasts between 10 and 15 days after the which the wine spends 16 months in French (30%) and American (70%) oak barrels yielding a powerful and balanced bold red.
