WINE DESCRIPTION
This Chilensis Reserva red is made from the Carmenère grown in the Maule Valley, in Chile's Central Valley. This variety known for giving notes of dark fruit with marked herbaceous character. Here, the Mediterranean climate marked by dry summers allows the fruit to ripen early and reliably. Grapes are hand-harvested, crushed and transferred to stainless steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation. The wine is aged in a mixture of new and used French and American oak barrels, as well as stainless steel tanks to achieve a balance of purity and complexity.

The tannins are well-integrated and the fresh acidity provide a counterpoint to the rich dark fruit flavors and complement the marked vegetal notes of fresh herbs, peppers and a hint of oak spice.
