WINE DESCRIPTION
Maximin Grünhaus Herrenberg Riesling Eiswein is a hugely impressive dessert wine produced in the cool, marginal climate of the Mosel. Riesling grapes grown in the Herrenberg vineyard, marked by its steep slopes and slate soils, are picked when the grapes have frozen on the vine. After hand harvesting, the grapes are rapidly pressed resulting in immensely concentrated and sweet juice. The juice is fermented at low temperatures in inert vessels and halted prior to completion to retain sweetness in the wine.
