This wine is made by blending 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. 250 years ago, a massive cave was excavated in the heart of Mount Carmel. The natural conditions of the cave made it a perfect wine cellar, and in the 19th century, it was already being used to store wine and brandy. After it was recently restored to its former function, The Cave Winery was inspired to name itself after it. The grapes used in this small-batch wine were carefully selected from the finest vineyards in the Upper Galilee and underwent meticulous production processes. The wine was then aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, and it will continue to mature in the bottle for many years to come.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
This Cave Dry Red Blend offers a complex and sophisticated flavor profile with a deep, dark core of intense fruit flavors. On the nose, aromas of ripe blackberry and cherry fill the air and lead into a palate of juicy blackberry, raspberry, and plum. Hints of baking spices and earthy flavors round out the bold and intense flavors of this full-bodied red. The finish is long, with a subtle hint of oak and a hint of sweetness for balance.
