Clean blend of white grapes from Austria, expertly blended to create a cohesive and polished wine. The nose is highlighted by a sweet and aromatic bouquet, with notes of elderflower syrup, lemon slices, jasmine, honeyed peach, ripe pear, apple, lychee, sweet pineapple, and a note of grassiness. The tongue is lively and refreshing, with a good evenness of juicy and fresh flavors, comprising lime and chalky minerals. The ending is medium, with a lingering bitterness of grapefruit. Overall, a lovely wine that is just missing a bit of strength and complexity.

What the web is saying

This Wiener Gemischter Satz offers an aromatic bouquet of elderflower, jasmine, peach, and tropical fruits, balanced by lively citrus and mineral flavors. While praised for its refreshing acidity and polished blend, some note a lingering grapefruit bitterness and desire more complexity. Reviews highlight its versatility for warm-weather enjoyment but suggest it may lack depth for more experienced palates.

Voss Experts4.5

This vibrant and multifaceted Gemischter Satz, hailing from the historic vineyards of Klosterneuburg, presents a luminous straw hue. The nose is an intricate tapestry of white blossom, ripe pear, and a whisper of fennel, underscored by a mineral edge. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious blend of stone fruit and citrus zest, supported by a crisp acidity that enhances its refreshing character. The mid-palate is textured, with a subtle salinity that adds depth, leading to a clean, invigorating finish. This wine exemplifies the traditional Viennese field blend, offering both complexity and approachability.
