Wine Description:
Neudorf Vineyards Tiritiri Chardonnay comes from a selection within the Moutere Hills and Waimea Plains planted on clay gravels and alluvial soils. The Chardonnay is entirely hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed. Fermentation takes place in a small proportion of new french oak barrels with partial use of native yeast to add complexity. Malolactic conversion follows fermentation to round out the crisp acidity and add delicate buttery notes. Maturation takes place on lees and the wine is bottled unfined.

Wine Expert Note:

Neudorf Vineyards Tiritiri Chardonnay has a bright pale golden appearance in the glass. On the nose, it offers enticing aromas of ripe stone and orchard fruits, such as peach and yellow apple, along with hints of citrus and grapefruit. These aromas are beautifully complemented by subtle notes of toasted oak, adding depth and complexity to the aroma profile. The palate of this Chardonnay is round and creamy, with a perfect balance between fruitiness and crisp acidity. The stone fruit flavors continue to shine, accompanied by flavors of ripe pear and a touch of honey. The oak influence is well-integrated, providing a creamy texture and a hint of spice. The Neudorf Vineyards Tiritiri Chardonnay boasts a long and minerally finish, leaving a lasting impression on the palate.
