Maximin Grünhaus Riesling Alte Reben

Maximin Grünhaus Riesling Alte Reben is praised for its vibrant acidity, elegant minerality, and harmonious blend of citrus, floral, and earthy notes. While some find it lively and well-balanced, others report muted fruit nuances and unpleasant aromas. It pairs well with salmon and teriyaki dishes, offering a long, smooth finish with a hint of petrol and honey.

This Riesling from the esteemed Maximin Grünhaus estate showcases a luminous pale straw hue, indicative of its youthful vitality. On the nose, it presents an intricate bouquet of ripe apricot, white peach, and a whisper of honeysuckle, underscored by a minerally slate character that speaks to its terroir. The palate is a masterclass in balance, with vibrant acidity seamlessly interwoven with a hint of residual sweetness, creating a textural elegance. The finish is long and precise, echoing notes of citrus zest and wet stone. This wine exemplifies the finesse and complexity of Mosel Rieslings, offering both immediate pleasure and potential for graceful aging.
