Dr. Loosen Riesling Blue Slate Dry is praised for its bright citrus, peach, and floral notes, with a balanced sweetness and crisp acidity. While some enjoy its mineral undertones and refreshing finish, others find it overly sweet. The wine's medium body and harmonious flavors make it a versatile choice for pairing with various dishes, offering excellent value for its price.
Dr. Loosen Riesling Blue Slate Dry is a remarkable wine with the best qualities of the Riesling grape variety. With its vibrant acidity and refreshing character, this wine is a true delight for the senses. On the nose, you can expect enticing aromas of citrus fruits, such as lemon and lime, along with hints of green apple and peach. These fruity notes are complemented by subtle floral undertones, adding an elegant touch to the overall bouquet. The palate of this wine is equally impressive. It offers a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, with flavors of ripe stone fruits, like apricot and nectarine, mingling with zesty citrus notes. The mineral-driven backbone, characteristic of the Blue Slate vineyard, adds complexity and depth to the wine, making each sip a memorable experience. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that invites you to take another sip. This wine is best enjoyed chilled and pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, including seafood, poultry, and spicy Asian cuisine.
