Raína is the winery of cook and winegrower Francesco Mariani in Montefalco, Umbria, established in 2002. Mariani makes wine with his friend and collaborator Andrea Mattioli. He chose the nickname of the farmer who previously cultivated the land as the winery’s name to preserve a link with the past.

Its 10 hectares of vineyards, planted between 2002 and 2008, lie at 220–300 metres above sea level and face mainly south-east. They grow Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Merlot, Syrah, Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino, with all vineyard work done by hand. Biodynamic farming has been practised since 2012, and the estate is certified organic by Codex. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous or use starters prepared from its own grapes, without selected yeasts; the wines mature in steel, concrete and large oak casks and remain unfiltered. Following its departure from the DOC system in 2022, all its wines are certified IGT Umbria.
On VinoVoss, Raína has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 ratings.
