Mtzi Lusteck
Rich and intense wine with a deep, layered flavor profile that unveils the tangerine notes, but the straight-up alcohol strength adds richness and structure. The tannins, however, provide a woody and slightly bitter finish, with a hard kick that dominates the palate. Despite the initial smoothness, the aftertaste gradually reveals a soft dryness, making it a well-balanced and contenting wine.
Nina
The tannins have mellowed, and the fruit and integration have been well-balanced, resulting in a refined and smooth experience.
Khatuna
Ruby red cast with a understated brackish undertone; Aromatic nuances of dark, concentrated fruits, inky berries, and black fruits; earthy undertones; mouthfeel nuances of black cherry, plum, blackberry, dry, with solid tannins; lingering aftertaste.

Raína Sagrantino di Montefalco is appreciated for its rich, intense flavors and well-balanced profile. It features notes of tangerine and dark fruits like black cherry and plum. While some find the tannins smooth and refined, others note a woody, slightly bitter finish. The wine's earthy undertones and lingering aftertaste contribute to its complexity, making it a contenting choice for many.
The 2018 Raína Sagrantino di Montefalco presents a deep, garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it unfurls a bouquet of black cherry, dried plum, and hints of anise, underscored by a subtle earthiness. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with firm tannins that promise longevity. Layers of dark chocolate and dried herbs interlace with a vibrant acidity, offering a counterbalance to the wine's inherent richness. The finish is long and persistent, with a whisper of balsamic reduction. This Sagrantino stands as a quintessential expression of Umbria's winemaking prowess, demanding both attention and respect.
