Wine Description:
The balanced Modà Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Italy is a single-varietal wine, made from the Montepulciano grape variety. The grapes thrive under optimal conditions in the Abruzzo region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into limestone-rich soils. At the point of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Modà Montepulciano d'Abruzzo are exclusively handpicked, avoiding the use of coarse and non-selective grape harvesters. After the grape harvest, the grapes promptly make their way to the winery. They are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After its completion, the Modà Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is aged for an additional 6 months in oak barrels.
Pros:
  • Rich and full-bodied with a deep ruby color
