Wine Description:
Sergio Mottura Orvieto is a distinguished white wine hailing from the historic Orvieto DOC region, which spans 18 municipalities across Umbria and Lazio. The wine is crafted entirely from grapes grown in the company's own vineyards in Civitella d’Agliano, one of the five Lazio municipalities within the DOC. These vineyards benefit from the region's unique volcanic soil, a blend of clay, sand, and silt, derived from the Vulsini mountains and the Tiber River's alluvial deposits. This Orvieto is composed equally of Procanico and Grechetto grapes. The winemaking process involves soft pressing and static decantation, followed by fermentation and six months of aging in steel tanks on fine lees. The result is a wine that embodies elegance and balance, with a harmonious blend of flavors and a refined finish, reflecting both the meticulous craftsmanship of Sergio Mottura and the rich terroir of the Orvieto region.
