Royal Oporto Quinta das Carvalhas LBV NV

Royal Oporto Quinta das Carvalhas LBV is appreciated for its deep, full-bodied character and evolved nose with petroleum and plum notes. While some enjoy its luscious sweetness and fruity profile, others highlight its opulent dessert pairing potential. It offers a round, fulfilling finish, making it a great introduction to port wines. However, opinions on its warmth and sweetness vary.

This Late Bottled Vintage Port presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its youthful vigor and concentration. The bouquet unfolds with layers of ripe blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of dried fig, underscored by subtle notes of dark chocolate and a whisper of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent, with a velvety texture that is seamlessly integrated with firm, yet approachable tannins. The wine's vibrant acidity provides balance, leading to a long, harmonious finish marked by nuances of black cherry and a touch of mineral complexity. A quintessential expression of the Douro Valley's terroir, this LBV is poised for immediate enjoyment or further aging.
