Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Asili 2020

Subtle and elegant wine, crafted with dedication and care, courtesy of my father-in-law. A testament to the enduring legacy of his passion for wine, which has been passed down through the years. A true gem, expressing the best of Italian varietals, with a full bodied and deep character that is sure to delight even the most discerning palate.

A well blended balance of fruit and tannins, with a luscious and silky body that was surprisingly fresh. The aromas were well-rounded and nuanced, featuring a blend of potpourri, rose petal, herbs, red cherry, red plum, black fruit, leather, and earth notes.

The terroir of Barbaresco is a layered tapestry of soil, climate, and geography, which sets it apart from other wines. The 230-290m high Asili vineyard is a prime example of this terroir, with its unique combination of limestone and clay soils that impart a distinctive flavor profile. The wine's pale ruby color with an orange rim is a testament to its high freshness and tannin levels, which give it a refreshing and zesty finish. The hints of cherry, tea leaves, and dead leaves are even by the sweetness of licorice and cinnamon, but the wine's dryness and high tartness make it a perfect match for a variety of dishes. The Asili wine is a true gem, with its unique terroir and flavor profile making it a impressive in the world of Barbaresco.
