Osmarino
Amarone's initial impact was somewhat subdued, with a closed, savory, and herbaceous character emerging shortly after opening. The fruit was muted, and the garnet was medium, with a gentle mix of cherry, prune, orange peel, cocoa, tar, licorice, oak, vanilla, and earthy notes. The tanginess was dry, with a medium+ level, and the tannins were medium+ in softness. The tail was medium+ with spicy and bitter impressions of licorice, and the broadly feeling was somewhat unimpressive, with an average score that would benefit from a decanting to allow the wine to breathe and integrate its flavors.
