Tasting highlight
The winemaking process involves a traditional method of drying the grapes on straw mats, which concentrates their flavors and aromas. The resulting wine is rich and full-bodied, with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and spice.

This Speri Vigneto Monte Sant'Urbano Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a deep and powerful wine with a complex nose of dried plums, raisins, and prunes. On the palate, it is full and velvety with notes of blackberries, licorice and spice. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of chocolate and oak. Overall, this is an impressive and well-structured Amarone that is sure to please.

Kami
Amarone is not my cup of tea, but this particular one is quite commendable, and without the overpowering raisin/prune flavor, it presents a rich, full-bodied sensation with a dense, dry profile that envelops the palate.
Cortese
Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, dense red hue. Its deep flavor profile is featured by accents of dried fruit, such as raisins and blueberries, alongside subtle nuances of violet and pencil shavings. The wine's tartness is sharp and its tannins are young and fresh, providing a pleasing mouthfeel. The trail is long and satisfying, with a sweet and fruity quality that complements a variety of dishes, showcasing a grilled wagyu flank steak.
Pirri
Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, concentrated color and a fragrant, perfumed nose. On the palate, it displays a unified evenness of sweet, ripe fruit, accompanied by plum, blackberry, and fig, alongside elegant hints of cedar and mild spice. The wine's tannins provide a smooth, gentle texture, even as a vibrant acidity helps to integration its richness. A amazing pick to round out a leisurely weekend evening.
