Wine Description:
Monsaraz Reguengos Tinto is a blend of Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Aragones (Tempranillo), grown in Portugal's Reguengos region in Alentejo. The grapes are manually harvested, before being unloaded at the winery and immediately destemmed and crushed. The alcoholic fermentation begins at controlled temperatures with skin maceration to extract both color and flavors. After the fermentation the wines are aged in a combination of French oak and inert vats.

Wine Expert Note:

Monsaraz Reguengos Tinto has an inky deep ruby-purple color with heavy staining of the tears. This is immediately expressive, with notes of intense aromas of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and blackcurrants. On the palate, Monsaraz Reguengos Tinto offers a harmonious balance between fruitiness and acidity, with smooth tannins. Despite the bold flavors the wine has only a moderate length of finish, that is marked by jammy black fruit and a hint of spice and violets.
