Joseph Matrot (1881-1963), grandson of Puligny-Montrachet and Blagny family estate owners, lived at Chateau d'Evelle with wife Marguerite Amoignon. They resided in Marguerite's family home, now Domaine Matrot's headquarters, expanding the estate. Son Pierre Matrot, a winegrower from 1937, modernized and expanded the vineyards. Thierry Matrot, born in 1955, joined in 1976, overseeing vinification from 1983. In 2000, Thierry and Pascale Matrot established SARL Thierry et Pascale Matrot, managing the harvest of "Heritiers du Domaine Joseph Matrot." Thierry ensures high-quality winemaking at SCE Pierre Matrot and Heritiers du Domaine Joseph Matrot.
