La Bouche du Roi Le Grand Lever Chenin 2023

Voss Expert tasting note

This Chenin Blanc presents a luminous straw hue, indicative of its vibrant character. On the nose, it unfurls a bouquet of ripe quince, honeysuckle, and a subtle hint of lanolin, underscored by a deft touch of flinty minerality. The palate is a masterclass in balance, with a creamy texture juxtaposed against a spine of zesty acidity. Layers of baked apple and lemon curd evolve into a lingering finish marked by a whisper of almond and wet stone. This wine exemplifies the Loire's finesse, offering both immediate pleasure and potential for graceful aging.
