Caravel
Somewhat balanced Pinot Gris from Napa, this re-tasting found itself somewhat lacking in body and nuance, with a flavor profile that was serviceable but not primarily memorable. The finish was also somewhat underwhelming, with a lack of depth that detracted from the on the whole experience.
Tzyy
Clean and zesty white wine with a citrusy nose and floral undertones, displaying a dry and consistent flavor profile with touches of grapefruit, pear, green apple, and melon.

The phrase 'Porch punch in the mouth' is a colloquialism that can be interpreted in various ways, but in this context, it appears to be a humorous and playful expression. The hostess Janna's use of this phrase suggests a lighthearted and friendly tone, which is consistent with the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Landmark Winery.

J Vineyards Estate Pinot Gris is generally praised for its vibrant citrus and floral notes, with a zesty and dry character that pairs well with seafood and creamy dishes. While some find it lacking in body and depth, others appreciate its refreshing and elegant profile. Common flavors include pear, apple, and melon, with a clean finish. Overall, it's a well-regarded choice for a bright, summery wine.
J Vineyards Estate Pinot Gris presents an inviting nose of bright melon and ripe stone fruit, with hints of pear and floral notes, reminiscent of honeysuckle that evoke a sense of freshness. On the palate, the wine bursts with vibrant flavors of juicy white peach and apricot skin, complemented by a subtle florality that adds depth and finesse. The acidity is firm, creating a lively mouthfeel and offsets the creamy texture on the palate, bringing balance to the crisp finish.
