Crisp and lively wine with a citrusy nose, reflective of green tree fruits. The close is long and pleasant, with a sweet and fresh quality that will leave you feeling jolly. A well-balanced bracing quality makes it a outstanding pairing for a variety of dishes. Overall, a very delightful wine that I would highly recommend. I'll definitely be having it again in the future, but I'm not sure what specific pairing will bring out its best qualities. I'll be returning it to the store for now.

Jarring combination of crushed gravel and sour candies, this pairing is a jarring experience.

What the web is saying

Chehalem Pinot Gris is praised for its crisp, lively, and clean profile with citrus and green apple notes. While some enjoy its balanced minerality and fruitiness, others find the combination of flavors jarring. It pairs well with seafood and grilled dishes, offering a refreshing experience. The wine's vibrant finish and harmonious character are consistently highlighted, despite some mixed opinions on its specific pairings.

Voss Experts4.5

Displaying a luminous straw hue, the Chehalem Pinot Gris opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe pear, white peach, and a hint of honeysuckle, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious balance of vibrant acidity and a creamy texture, offering flavors of citrus zest and green apple, with a whisper of almond on the mid-palate. The finish is crisp and refreshing, leaving a lingering note of wet stone. This Pinot Gris exemplifies the varietal's potential in Oregon, showcasing both finesse and complexity, making it a versatile choice for pairing with a range of dishes.
