Il Meridione Grillo is appreciated for its approachable blend of pear, apple, and citrus notes with a hint of oak. While some find it refreshing and versatile, others feel it's unremarkable and lacks juiciness. The wine's dry finish and mineral profile are noted, with some enjoying its zesty nature and others finding it straightforward.
Il Meridione Grillo presents a luminous straw-yellow hue, revealing a bouquet of ripe stone fruits, lemon zest, and subtle saline undertones, characteristic of its Sicilian terroir. On the palate, it unfolds with a medium-bodied structure, where vibrant acidity elegantly balances the lush notes of white peach and apricot. A whisper of almond and a hint of minerality add layers of complexity, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish. This Grillo exemplifies the varietal's potential, offering a harmonious blend of fruit and minerality that positions it as a quintessential expression of Sicilian white wine craftsmanship.
