WINE DESCRIPTION

Huguet de Can Feixes Negre Selecció is sourced from old vine Tempranillo and Merlot from the DO of Penedes in Catalonia, Northeast Spain. The vineyards are located at high elevation on limestone and gravel soils. Grapes are hand harvested with careful berry selection, before being whole cluster pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is matured for around 3 months in French & American oak barrels with a further 12 months in stainless steel tanks and bottle before release.

Huguet de Can Feixes Negre Selecció has a medium ruby appearance.The nose offers a range of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, alongside subtle hints of spices and tobacco undertones. The aromas are well-integrated and provide a harmonious experience. Upon tasting, the medium to full body and velvety texture support the rich and bold flavors of black plum, blackberry, and licorice. The wine is fruit-forward and inviting, and whilst the finish is not overly long or complex, the wine is appealing.
