Hogue Johannisberg Riesling 2022

This Johannisberg Riesling is praised for its soft, lean profile that works equally well as a sipping wine or paired with light dishes. Reviewers highlight its versatility, particularly noting its effectiveness as a dessert wine.

This Riesling presents a luminous pale straw hue, revealing a bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle, and a whisper of petrol, characteristic of its varietal pedigree. The palate is a harmonious interplay of ripe apricot and lime zest, underscored by a vibrant acidity that enlivens the wine's medium-bodied structure. A subtle minerality weaves through the mid-palate, enhancing its complexity and leading to a crisp, off-dry finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential balance of sweetness and acidity, making it a benchmark for New World Rieslings, ideal for pairing with spicy Asian cuisine or enjoyed on its own.
