Lush and nuanced wine with a deep, bold character. The concentrated berry and leather suggestions are well-integrated, but the tannins are soft and silky, with a elegant earthy and mineral undertone. The tartness is fully integrated, but the wine may benefit from a bit more substance and intensity. Overall, a well-crafted wine with a lot of potential, but with some minor flaws that prevent it from reaching its full potential.

What the web is saying

Giacosa Fratelli Barolo is praised for its rich, full-bodied structure, with notes of cherry, leather, and oak. While some find its tannins soft and silky, others note a need for more intensity. The wine's earthy and spicy undertones, along with a velvety texture, make it a versatile choice for pairing with hearty dishes. Some vintages may benefit from aging to reach their full potential.

Voss Experts4.3

The Giacosa Fratelli Barolo presents a captivating nose of red cherries, roses, and hints of truffle, embodying the quintessence of Nebbiolo. On the palate, it unfolds layers of complex flavors, including ripe red fruit, licorice, and earthy undertones, complemented by a firm tannic structure and vibrant acidity. The aging in oak barrels adds a subtle spice and smoothness to the texture, leading to an impeccably balanced finish.
