What the web is saying

Fontanafredda Barolo Serralunga d'Alba is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with complex aromas of cherry, oak, and leather. Many appreciate its well-balanced tannins and smooth finish, while some find it slightly acidic. The wine's aging potential is noted, with some vintages benefiting from decanting. While some find it a standout, others feel it lacks depth. Overall, it's a solid choice for Barolo enthusiasts.

Voss Experts4.3

This Barolo from Fontanafredda is an excellent example of the classic Nebbiolo grape sourced from the Serralunga d'Alba region. The nose offers aromas of rose petals, leather, and earthy spices. On the palate, there are ripe red fruit flavors that are balanced by an elegant tannic structure and subtle mineral notes. The finish is long and lingering with a mix of cherry, plum, and spice. Overall, this is an impeccable Barolo with tremendous complexity and finesse.
