WINE DESCRIPTION
Elk Cove Pinot Gris is hand-harvested from hillside vineyards in the cooler northern Willamette Valley which provides the ideal climate for Pinot Gris that requires a cooler and long growing season to acquire full flavor ripeness. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are gently whole-cluster pressed as not to extract bitterness. The juice is then fermented at very cool temperatures in small stainless steel tanks to retain the bright fruit flavors to create a pure and varietally expressive Pinot Gris.

This Elk Cove Pinot Gris offers a bright and aromatic nose, with notes of citrus, peach and a hint of minerality.On the palate, the wine shows a round and juicy mouthfeel, with flavors of pear, melon, and white flower, balanced by crisp acidity. The finish has a moderate length and slight oily texture, with a core of minerality that lingers.
