Wine Description:
The highest vineyard that Eduardo manages is situated at 1070 meters above sea level. That is considered very high even on Mount Etna. The uniqueness of this 0.5-hectare plot lies in the old, 80-year-old vines, which are rooted here in a mixed planting of 50% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Grenache, and 30% other white grapes (Grecanico, Coda di Volpe, Carricante). The name of the wine originates from a mountain road where the vineyard is located. The winemaking process includes a 15-day maceration, spontaneous fermentation without temperature control, and eight months of aging in cement tanks and used barriques.

Wine Expert Note:

This Eduardo Torres Acosta Quota N Piede Franco Rosso is a deep and complex Italian red wine from the Calabria region. On the nose, aromas of ripe red berries, dried herbs and a hint of leather combine to create a captivating scent. The palate is full of dark fruit flavors, with hints of blackberry, black cherry, and juicy plum. Soft tannins and a smooth, velvety texture make this a pleasure to drink. The finish is long and lingering, with a subtle spiciness that lingers on the palate. Enjoy this wine with rustic Italian dishes such as pasta with a bold tomato sauce, or grilled meats.
