Domaine Larue Saint-Aubin 2023

Domaine Larue Saint-Aubin is praised for its well-balanced profile, rich oak character, and creamy texture. It features notes of apple, butter, and minerality, with some finding it smooth and others noting a need for more depth. Citrus and tropical fruit nuances are also mentioned. While some enjoy its immediate charm, others suggest it could benefit from aging.

This Saint-Aubin from Domaine Larue presents a luminous pale straw hue, indicative of its pristine origins. The nose is an intricate tapestry of white blossom, ripe pear, and a whisper of flint, underscored by a subtle infusion of hazelnut from judicious oak aging. On the palate, the wine is elegantly structured, showcasing a harmonious interplay of vibrant acidity and a creamy texture. The mid-palate reveals layers of citrus zest and crushed stone minerality, leading to a refined, lingering finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and precision characteristic of the Côte de Beaune, offering both immediate appeal and potential for graceful aging.
