It takes a moment to understand the place of Château des Tours within the modern history of the southern Rhone Valley. Château des Tours is the home family estate of Emmanuel Reynaud. In 1997, after the passing of his uncle Jacques, Emmanuel also took on the operation of Chateaux Rayas and Fonsalette. Their is perhaps no estate of greater acclaim in the souther Rhone than Rayas, critic Robert Parker once said that the 1990 Chateau Rayas was the most prizes wine is his collectoon. The lineage of Château des Tours, and its winemaker is beyond compare. This wine is 100% Grenache Blanc. The vineyards are not certified organic due to Emmanuel's dislike of regulatory processes. However, the practices followed are in full compliance with organic requirements.
