Wine Description:
Domaine Forey Père et Fils, situated in Vosne-Romanée within Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, exclusively crafts red wines from Pinot Noir. At its core are two grand cru selections from Vougeot and Flagey-Échézeaux, complemented by five premier crus, two from Vosne-Romanée, two from Nuits-Saint-Georges, and one from Morey-Saint-Denis. Village-level wines originate from all three appellations, with a unique approach of producing three Vosne-Romanée village wines from the same grapes. The "conventional" version matures in 500-liter hogsheads, while the Jarre ages in terracotta for added minerality, and the Menhir cuvée takes shape in a truncated cone-shaped oak vat. Additionally, several Bourgogne wines complete the portfolio.

Wine Expert Note:

The Domaine Forey Père & Fils Echezeaux Grand Cru is an exceptional wine produced by Domaine Forey Père & Fils, a renowned winery known for their commitment to quality and tradition. In the glass, this wine displays a deep ruby color, indicating its richness and concentration. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, along with hints of floral notes and earthy undertones. These aromas are further enhanced by subtle oak nuances, contributing to the wine's overall complexity. On the palate, the Echezeaux Grand Cru reveals its true character. It is full-bodied and velvety, with a silky texture that coats the mouth. The flavors are intense and well-balanced, with a harmonious blend of fruit, spice, and earthy elements. The tannins are refined and integrated, providing structure and aging potential. This wine is a perfect example of the elegance and finesse that can be achieved in a Grand Cru from the Echezeaux vineyard. It is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but also has the potential to age gracefully for many years, allowing its flavors to evolve and develop further complexity.
