Domaine des Sables Verts Les Poyeux Saumur-Champigny

Domaine des Sables Verts Les Poyeux Saumur-Champigny 2019 is noted for its distinctive and dimensional nose and palate. While some appreciate its unique and thought-provoking character, others highlight its classic bold flavors of bramble, cherry, black pepper, cinnamon, and green bell pepper, wrapped in a rich, full-bodied Cabernet.

A quintessential expression of Saumur-Champigny, this wine exhibits a deep garnet hue with a nose that unfolds layers of ripe black cherry, cassis, and subtle violet florals. The palate is elegantly structured, showcasing fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that underscores its mineral backbone, characteristic of the limestone-rich terroir. Notes of dark plum and a hint of graphite add complexity, while a whisper of spice lingers on the finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and depth of Loire Valley Cabernet Franc, promising both immediate pleasure and potential for graceful aging.
