Classy Loire Cabernet Franc with a cohesive evenness of earthy and fruit notes, revealing a crisp zest and a medium to full-bodied texture. The aromas of slate, mushroom, and red fruit are paired by the feel of cherry, blueberry, and bell pepper, resulting in a long and pleasing finish.
Lets Eshoo
Lush and full-bodied wine with a deep and engaging character. The nose is featured by a muscular and intense boldness of smoke, leather, and earthy notes, with a light trace of barn floor. The impression is lighter and more approachable, with a clear cherry and cassis presence, accompanied by a fresh and herbaceous green bell pepper note. The wine is well-made and offers captivating merit for the price.

It's a bit of a mystery, perhaps. The unblended Cabernet Franc is a unique choice. It's not French, but it's not entirely unknown either. In a blind tasting, I'd have guessed Northern California or New Zealand. The color is a intense red, but it's not importantly striking. The nose is quite fruit-forward, with a mix of red and black fruits, featuring cherries and blackberries. The texture is stronger, with a hint of vegetable undertones. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but I'm not uniquely bothered. It's unremarkable, to say the least.

Domaine Breton's Cabernet Franc is praised for its earthy, fruity character and smooth tannins. Many appreciate its blend of red and black fruits with green bell pepper and herbal notes. While some find it robust and full-bodied, others note a more subtle, nuanced profile. A few reviews mention a slightly astringent finish, but overall, it's seen as a well-crafted, versatile wine.
Aromas of bright cherries and plums mingle with delicate notes of rose petals and violets, while subtle hints of herbs, earth, and baking spices add complexity. On the palate, this fresh and vibrant wine reveals a silky texture and juicy acidity, with flavors of ripe black cherries, red currants, and plums. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of toasty oak. Enjoy this lovely Loire Valley expression now or cellar for a few more years for further development.
