Casual Christmas dinner with Lois, a light and easy-drinking wine, is a perfect way to unwind. Lois's comment about the wine tasting like red is a clever observation, but ultimately, it's a matter of personal preference. The wine's gentle character is a superb fit for the occasion, and its accessibility makes it a captivating standout for those looking for a relaxed evening with friends.
Volodymyr
The pairing of the wine with the gamey courses was a balanced one, with the fruit-forward nuances of blackberry and plum complementing the earthy shades of the dish. The delicate tones of wood and pepper added strength and richness to the overall experience.
Ritamarie
Bold, peppery introduction sets the tone, followed by a dry, herbaceous finish. The spicy and sour notes linger, leaving a crisp, dry aftertaste.

Guiberteau Les Moulins Saumur Rouge is praised for its fruit-forward notes of plum and blackberry, complemented by peppery and earthy undertones. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and herbaceous finish, others enjoy its subtle sweetness and vibrant berry flavors. The wine's gentle character makes it suitable for relaxed occasions, though its complexity also pairs well with gamey dishes.
This Guiberteau Les Moulins Saumur Rouge is an elegant and complex wine with a deep ruby color. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, forest floor, and subtle earthy notes mingle with hints of spice. On the palate, the wine is light to medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a rich texture and soft tannins that lead to a long and lingering finish. This wine is a great example of classic Saumur Rouge, and is sure to delight fans of the region's classic style.
