Viña Olabarri Gran Reserva was founded by Pablo Olabarri Bikandi, who acquire in 1985 a century-old winery from the 19th century on Las Bodegas de Anguciana Street. The need for modern and spacious facilities for wine production led to the construction of new facilities in Haro in 1989, with enough capacity to house 4,000 barrels and a warehouse for aging 800,000 bottles.
