This Chenin Blanc from Clau de Nell exhibits a luminous straw hue, revealing a bouquet of quince, honeysuckle, and a whisper of wet stone. The palate is a masterclass in balance, showcasing a seamless integration of vibrant acidity and a textured, mineral-driven core. Notes of ripe pear and lemon curd unfold, underscored by a subtle saline edge that enhances its complexity. The finish is long and precise, with a lingering impression of crushed chalk and a hint of white pepper. This wine exemplifies the Loire Valley's potential for producing profound, age-worthy Chenin Blanc.

Djjuannan
Rich and full-bodied Chenin with a dimensional oak character, featuring notes of honey, acacia, and almonds. However, the excessive oak influence overpowers the fruit, resulting in a sip that is overly oaky and lacks the acidity and minerality to integration it out. The close is long and spicy, but ultimately, the wine's richness and richness are compromised by the oak's dominance.
Efan
Subtle and elegant wine with a elegant minerality and a dash of quince on the nose, accompanied by a bright citrus profile that continues on the palate. A well-crafted and easy wine.
Reenee
Balanced blend of youthful and mature notes, with a clear and medium lemon colour. The aromas are well-rounded and layered, featuring toast, cream, ghee, papaya, chalk, dry stones, earth, hay, and a delicate etherical quality. The taste is dry, with a high tanginess and a med+ bodied texture, during the flavours are intense and developing, with flavors of chalk, flint, gunpowder, toast, dry stones, hay, oils, blossom, earth, lemon, and papaya. The finish is medium, with a good and mellow burn on the palate, but requires some air to fully open up. Overall, this is a serious Chenin Blanc with a lovely integration of flavours and a enjoyable finish. It is compatible for drinking or holding, and deserves a score of 91 out of 100.
