This Château Léoville Las Cases is an estate located in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. The estate was classified as a Deuxieme Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, one of three properties split from the former Leoville estate to be so honored. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes. Key to style is the use of a lower fermentation temperature resulting in a more exotic, aromatic style of wine. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for around 18 months before release. Throughout the 2010s and beyond, this estate has been making wines the equal of any in Bordeaux.
