WINE DESCRIPTION
Cayuse Vineyards' Cailloux Vineyard Syrah is a heralded Washington State wine that represents the apex of New World Syrah. Crafted by the biodynamically-driven Cayuse Vineyards, this single-vineyard Syrah hails from the Walla Walla Valley, a sub-appellation increasingly celebrated for its unique terroir. The Cailloux Vineyard features cobblestone soils, akin to the stones found in the Rhône Valley, offering exceptional drainage and minerality. Winemaker Christophe Baron employs minimalistic techniques, including native yeast fermentation and aging in custom French oak barrels, to let the vineyard’s character fully express itself.
