Varin Fourgnaud
Amarone della Valpantena, a opulent and full-bodied wine, was carefully crafted in the cellar of Grezzane. The blend of 80% corvina and 20% rondinella, which had been dried until January, was then aged in oak barrique for two years and bottled for a year. The result is a medium ruby wine with pronounced aromas of ripe red fruit, forest floor, cedar, chocolate, and spices. The tannins are dry and high, meanwhile the bracing quality is high, giving the wine a long and delightful finish. The final product is a nuanced and full bodied wine that is best enjoyed in moderation.
