Arnaldo Rivera Monvigliero 2019

Arnaldo Rivera Monvigliero is praised for its rich, complex flavors with notes of cherry, elderflower, and earthy undertones. It offers a smooth, polished texture with well-integrated tannins and a long, satisfying finish. While some find it a stellar, well-balanced wine, others wish for more complexity. Its affordability and approachability make it a notable choice for Nebbiolo enthusiasts.

This Barolo showcases the ethereal elegance of the Monvigliero cru, with a garnet hue that preludes its aromatic complexity. The bouquet unfolds with layers of rose petal, red cherry, and hints of anise, underscored by a whisper of dried herbs. On the palate, it is both refined and powerful, with a silken texture that belies its firm, yet finely-grained tannins. The vibrant acidity provides a backbone that carries through to a lingering finish, marked by notes of balsamic reduction and mineral undertones. A quintessential expression of Piedmontese terroir, promising graceful evolution with time.
