REGIONAL FEATURES
There are only a few winemakers who work very hard to preserve this old variety. . Mauzac Noir is a vigorous mid-ripening variety, that is not very productive. Mauzac Noir pairs well with creamy cheeses. It also pairs well with dishes that have a bit of sweetness, such as pork with fruit sauces or duck confit.

Mauzac Noir is believed to be very close to another ancient Roman grape variety, Fer.
