Manseng Noir is mostly found in the south-west of France and North-west Spain Manseng Noir is vigorous, with compacted bunches. It is a member of the Courbu ampelographic group and is morphologically and genetically distinct from Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng. Manseng Noir pairs well with dishes from the Basque region, such as meats and fish grilled over hot coals, lamb stews and Tolosa bean dishes.
