Flora

Flora is a white grape variety created by by Dr. Harold Olmo in 1938. It is a crossing of Gewürztraminer and Semillon.

Flora produces wines with light golden color. They are aromatic, with notes of honeysuckle, lychee, apricot and spice. The taste profile is highly aromatic, with a sweet tropical fruit flavour and a round finish.

Flora is grown in California. Flora grapes are low in acidity , which makes it perfect to produce off-dry or sweet wines. Flora, single varietal or in blend, is used to produce dry white wines, off-dry to sweet wines, as well as sparkling wines.
