The Winery of Good Hope

The Winery of Good Hope is a wine producer founded by Alex Dale, with a cellar on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. The winery’s parent company, Radford Dale, is committed to sustainable consumerism. Dale has also stressed the need to commit to the process of becoming fully sustainable. At the Helderberg cellar, the winery uses traditional, natural viticultural and winemaking methods. Its wines include Chenin Blanc, Bush Vine Chenin Blanc and Full Berry Fermentation Pinotage. The Bush Vine Chenin Blanc includes grapes from a low-yielding 50-year-old block. For the Full Berry Fermentation Pinotage, whole berries are gravity fed into the tank for carbonic maceration.
