May de Lencquesaing bought Glenelly Estate in 2003, and Glenelly produced its first wine vintages in 2008. Nicolas Bureau, grandson of May de Lencquesaing, became Glenelly's CEO in 2019.

Glenelly Estate is located on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, with 60 hectares planted to vines. Glenelly avoids all herbicides and pesticides in its vineyards to promote soil life and biodiversity. In 2018, Glenelly began converting two blocks to organic viticulture, expanding organic farming to 15 hectares in 2019. Cover crops planted between vine rows fix atmospheric nitrogen into the soil and encourage natural predators, and border plantings of proteas encourage wasp populations to biologically control mealybugs. For winemaking, the estate operates a 6,000 m² environmentally friendly gravity-flow winery across four floors. Rooftop solar panels provide all electricity to make the winery self-sufficient, while winery temperature is maintained via 15 kilometres of chilled-water pipes in the walls and ceilings, delivering 70% energy savings.
On VinoVoss, Glenelly has 4 wines in stock: 2 red, 2 white. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 152 ratings.
