Keermont

Keermont is a wine estate set in a naturally formed amphitheatre between the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges. The Wraith family moved from Gauteng to the Western Cape in 2001 and bought the two adjacent farms that make up Keermont Vineyards in 2003. Redevelopment of the farm began in 2005, when winemaker Alex Starey was employed.

The vineyard parcels lie at the top of the valley, between 250 and 400 metres above sea level, with aspects ranging from north-east to west. Most parcels grow on deep, red, clay-rich soils derived from sandstone and granite and are surrounded by indigenous vegetation. All its wines are made from grapes grown on Keermont Vineyards.
