Tenuta dei Sette Cieli

Tenuta dei Sette Cieli is a wine estate with vineyards in Monteverdi Marittimo; its project grew from Erika’s dream, and its first vines were planted in 2001 at 400 metres above Bolgheri. Her children, Ambrogio and Acqua, carry her vision forward.

The estate covers 80 hectares, including 10 hectares of vineyards. Terraces with dry-stone walls separate its plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. Farming is organic, and all vineyard work is done by hand. Each parcel and variety is vinified separately, with spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts and ageing in small French oak barrels. Its wines include Indaco, blending Malbec, Cabernet and Merlot, and Scipio, made entirely from Cabernet Franc grown at 400 metres above sea level.
