Ruffino is a wine producer founded in 1877 by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino in Pontassieve. Its sustainability work began in 2014 and led to Biodiversity Friends certification by the World Biodiversity Association in 2018.

Among these, Montemasso was the first Chianti Classico estate Ruffino acquired and the estate from which Riserva Ducale Oro emerged. Its wines include Modus, which debuted as a Supertuscan, and Riserva Ducale Oro, whose 2010 vintage marked Ruffino’s first Gran Selezione release.
